Bowling Green School hosted the first home game of the 2019 football season last Friday. After opening the season with a 20-0 win over Cathedral High School on the road, the Bucs were looking to win their second game of the season against the Centreville Academy Tigers.
The tanker truck for the Franklinton Fire Department was again the main topic of last Tuesday's Town Council meeting at Franklinton Town Hall. The citizens of Franklinton and surrounding areas have been without the services of a tanker fire truck for the last six months.

Bowling Green School's Cameron Bell has signed a baseball scholarship to play for Loyola University in New Orleans. While playing for BGS head coach Justin Garcia, he was a regular in centerfield while batting leadoff for the Buccaneers. Cam will likely continue as an outfielder on the collegiate level.
