With 2 local players, LSU's next game is a national semi-final

With LSU now slated to take on Oklahoma in a national semi-final on December 28, two Washington Parish residents continue to play key roles for the Tigers. Adrian Magee, an offensive lineman, and Derrick Dillon, a wide receiver, have each helped  propel the Tigers to their current lofty #1 national ranking. Magee is a former Franklinton High School football player, while Dillon played for Pine High School.

LSU defeated Georgia easily on Saturday, winning the Southeastern Conference championship with a 37-10 score.

The LSU-Oklahoma semi-final winner on December 28 will take on the Clemson-Ohio State semi-final winner in the National Championship game on January 13. The National Championship game will be played at the Superdome in New Orleans.

As LSU moves into the NCAA football playoffs later this month and into January, The Era-Leader will be publishing a special section, focusing on the Tigers and highlighting the accomplishments of Adrian Magee and Derrick Dillon. Watch for it!
