Crain Becomes 1st Supreme Court Justice From Washington Parish
Judge Will Crain was formally sworn-in Wednesday evening to the Louisiana Supreme Court. He becomes the first justice ever from Washington Parish.
Crain's father, retired Judge Hillary Crain, sworn his son into office as a Supreme Court justice. Will Crain then addressed the large crowd witnessing his investure in Mandeville before he took his place with the other justices of the state supreme court.
A number of Crain relatives and friends from Franklinton and other parts of the parish attended the ceremony.
Crain was elected in November to succeed Justice Greg Guidry, who was appointed as a federal judge by President Trump.
