Fair Queen Travels to Promote The Fair

Washington Parish Fair Queen Claire Ingram will go to the "End of the World" to represent the "Fair with the picnic spirit."

At the June meeting of the fair committees, Claire reported on her busy schedule as queen. She travels nearly every weekend to a fair or festival in the state as an ambassador for the largest Louisiana fair. Some of her recent visits included the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival and the Louisiana Crawfish Festival in Chalmette where her busy weekend included a stop at the iconic "End of the World" sign in Delacroix.

Claire also was invited by State Senator Beth Mizell and State Representative Melinda White to the Louisiana State Capital where each presented resolutions that gave the history and success of the fair.

In only four short months Claire's reign will end as she crowns a new WPFF Queen. It is not too early for young ladies in the parish to begin considering participating in the 2019 pageant. "It is a year that will change one's life," Claire points out.
