Sheriff Randy Seal has ordered a 9 p.m.-5 a.m  curfew for all of Washington Parish, and it is now in effect. The curfew was enacted because of the Coronavirus situation.
NEW: As of Friday, April 3 at noon, Washington Parish had only one death from Coronavirus, according to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
UPDATE: Gov. Edwards has extended the stay-at-home order through the month of April, to include school closures.
It’s this simple: If you wash your hands correctly, you’ll lower your chances of getting COVID-19. Motivated yet?
For the foreseeable future, the Washington Parish Jail is closed to all visitors because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
