Sheriff Randy Seal has ordered a 9 p.m.-5 a.m curfew for all of Washington Parish, and it is now in effect. The curfew was enacted because of the Coronavirus situation.

UPDATE: Gov. Edwards has extended the stay-at-home order through the month of April, to include school closures. A decision will be made close to the end of the month as to whether the order will bne extended again.
Joandra Dawson, 20, a resident of Highway 21 in Angie, Louisiana, is in the Washington Parish Jail charged with the murder of 17 year old Ja’Quarrius Taylor on January 12. Dawson’s bond has been set at $800,000.
For the foreseeable future, the Washington Parish Jail is closed to all visitors because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
