Mizell, a Republican, and White, a Democrat, each raced to overwhelming victories Saturday in their bids for second terms.
The MAIS devastated Bowling Green players and coaches last week with a ruling that the Bucs must forfeit their six football victories this season.
The ruling comes as a result of a complaint to MAIS that Bowling Green was using two ineligible players in all of its games thus far in the 2019 season.

The Franklinton Demons football team returned to their winning ways last Friday as they defeated the Tylertown Chiefs 30-18 on the road in a see-saw contest that was in doubt until late in the game. The win moves the Demons’ record to 2-2 with an upcoming non-district game with the Sumner Cowboys this Thursday on the road.

On June 26, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detective Demmie Rice arrested Charles Michael Folse, 32, on multiple charges of sexual offenses against juveniles.
The arrest involved a joint investigation with St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives who are expected to charge Folse with similar offenses there.

Each year, the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association awards sixty-four scholarships to worthy Louisiana high school graduates to provide assistance in furthering their education and training. One student is selected from each parish by the Sheriff of that parish.
