All eyes on LSU in championship game

Across Washington Parish, TV sets will be turned on and fans will be glued to the screens Saturday, as the LSU Tigers take on the Georgia Bulldogs for the Southeastern Conference Championship.

The game begins at 3 p.m. on CBS. LSU is 12-0 and enjoying its best season in years. Georgia comes into the championship game at 11-1.

FHS grad wins LSA scholarship

Each year, the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association awards sixty-four scholarships to worthy Louisiana high school graduates to provide assistance in furthering their education and training. One student is selected from each parish by the Sheriff of that parish.
