Wednesday and Thursday of last week were dreary, with some rain and some wind.
By Friday the sun was shining and everything was good around here.
But just over 200 miles away from Franklinton, it was a different story. There was devastation and flooding in Gulf Shores, Pensacola, and the surrounding areas.

Nov. 3 ballot to be crowded

Because of COVID-19, voting in the November 3 presidential election might be a bit complicated for some Washington Parish residents.

Those who want to avoid personal contact for the election can vote by mail, but there are some restrictions for this. You can’t just vote by mail because you want to.

Entire Starting Lineup For Lady Demons Named To All-District

The record breaking 5th ranked Lady Demons Softball team was recently recognized for its achievements at the Lady Demons Softball Banquet. The entire starting nine were voted onto the All District team. Aleigha Fussell, a workhorse for the team, had an incredible season as the team’s pitcher and was named District MVP.
