During the recent Grand Opening of the new Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Franklinton High School was represented.
Dr. Adren O. Wilson, FHS Class of 1990, serves as the Vice President of Youth Opportunity Programs and Executive Director for the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance at the Obama Foundation. In this role, he leads the signature program created by President Obama and guides the efforts of thousands in over 200 communities across America.
Dr. Wilson’s name is listed on the “A Tribute To Those Who Built This Center” wall in the Obama Presidential Center.
After graduating from FHS, Wilson received his bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science from LSU in Baton Rouge, a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a doctorate degree in Public Policy from the Nelson Mandela School of Government at Southern University.
He is the son of the late Delores Nell Wilson of Franklinton.
