Two Franklinton students were among the 14 Southeastern Louisiana University students who served as members of the 2025 Centennial Homecoming Court. They reigned over festivities during Homecoming week Oct. 13 - 18.
Chosen as members of the queen court are seniors Kaylie Anderson, Lafayette; Shaina Keller, Kentwood; Emily Lidikay, Hammond; Mackynzie Mannino, Tickfaw; Magnolia McCarty, St. Amant; Ina Pegues, Jackson, Miss.; and sophomore Nevaeh Armstrong, LaPlace.
Elected members of the king court are seniors Mekhi Batiste, Lacombe; Walker Peyton, Denham Springs; and Daniel Sinclair, Pearl River; juniors Ethan Benton, Denham Springs; Gregory Binder, Metairie; and Jacob Matherne, Franklinton; and sophomore Zachary Edwards, Franklinton.
Jacob Matherne is a computer science major. He served as an SGA senator, personal relations and special events chairman for Delta Tau Delta, earning the Tom Sharp New Member Award Scholarship, and a Campus Outreach Leadership Team member.
Zachary Edwards majors in chemistry. He is director of financial affairs for SGA, previously serving as a senator and earning Senator of the Year. He is also a member of the Honors Program, ACS/SPS, and the Office of Admissions Ambassadors. Edwards has also conducted undergraduate research.
