EDITOR'S UPDATE:
(Bowling Green School and Oak Forest Academy have been removed from the All-Star game, so Alex Brock, kicker from Bowling Green listed below, will not be participating Saturday. The explanation given to The Era-Leader is that the game is for member schools of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA). Bowling Green and Oak Forest are in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS). MAIS has its own All-Star game. However, no explanation has been offered as to how the Bowling Green kicker was selected in the first place and notified that he was selected.)

The Louisiana Football Coaches Association will host the LFCA North Shore Senior All Star football game Saturday at 2 pm at Southeastern Louisiana University.
The two teams are made up of schools from the Northshore area, mostly St Tammany, Washington and Tangipahoa parishes. Four local schools have players that will be playing in the game with players from Franklinton, Pine, Varnado and Bowling Green.
Playing for the North squad from Franklinton High are David Moore, an all district lineman for the Demons; Dalton Freeman, a versatile player who generally played tight end along with being the Demons punter as well as playing defensive line; Holden Galloway, another lineman for the Demons who came into his own this season blocking for FHS; and the Demons’ quarterback, Jacob Crain, who rewrote the FHS record books and led his team to a 21-6 record in his junior and senior seasons.
From Pine High are four year starting back Chris Williams, defensive lineman Lyriance Hart, and defensive back Delvonta Gardner.
The kicker for the North squad will be Alex Brock, who played at Bowling Green.
Travon Benne, a defensive back and Rodney Holmes, an offensive lineman from Varnado will be on the opposing team from the other parish selections.
Coach Nick Saltaformaggio of Franklinton put it nicely. "It is always great to be honored by your opposing coaches and that is what the all-star game is about for Jacob Crain, David Moore, Holden Galloway and Dalton Freeman. It gives them one more opportunity to put on a helmet and play the great game of football. They will represent the FHS team, school and community with great enthusiasm and passion."
Coach Bradley Seal of Pine feels that the players are worthy for another opportunity. "Each one of these guys are very deserving to play in this game. They have represented our school and program well the last four years."
Coach Saltaformaggio will lead the North team, with assistance from other coaches from the schools with players on the North team.
The high schools composing the North team are Covington, St. Paul’s, Archbishop Hannan, Hammond, Ponchatoula, St. Thomas Aquinas, Independence, Amite, Kentwood, Oak Forest, Pine, Bowling Green, and Franklinton.
Admission to the game is $10.
