Those April showers have returned as they must, in order for our food and water supply to be sustained. Crops large and small contain food for our nourishment and the very water that we drink comes from the rain. I remember when I was a child reciting the nursery rhyme, “Rain Rain Go Away…” but, as I have matured I realize the importance of the rain. Now I Thank God for “Rain”.

*It’s that time of year again for the Senior Class of 2025 “Academic Signing Day”. This event is scheduled for April 29th beginning @ 10am.
Reflections:
*Last week I had both the honor and the pleasure of attending a former student of mine receiving a community award. Angie Native & VHS Alumni LaDarrick Smith was recognized by his hometown of Angie, LA by the Mayor, other officials including ADAPT & Brilliant Mindz. Mayor Darryl Knight presented LaDarrick Smith with the “Key To The City of Angie” for his “Positive Impact on the Community”. His parents, Eric & Trina Smith were present as well as his grandmother, siblings, other family members, classmate (Baylin Youngblood), and friends. Pastor Linza Cotton delivered the opening and closing prayers, as well as the blessing of the food. Congratulatory words of encouragement were voiced throughout the event and as we enjoyed refreshments. Congratulations LaDarrick!
