June is here! It is a month of family birthday celebrations for me. One of my daughters and her two children were all born in June. It’s always nice to be able to honor their dates of birth and reminisce about their birth stories. As I grow older, these celebrations of life become more meaningful and dear to my heart. Since all of them are adults now, to celebrate we choose to do dinner vs having a party, whenever possible (sometimes the miles separate us).
Also, the 1st day of Summer is in June as well, around the 20th. Though the hot weather is sure to come, we have been Blessed with a “coolness” at the onset of this month and for this I am Thankful to God.

First MBC (Varnado):
* VBS is scheduled for the week of June 9-13, from 6-8:15pm. All children between the ages of 4 thru 14 are Welcome to attend. The theme for the week is: Discover the BIGNESS of God!

**Both Julond Harry & Rakia Green (2025 Graduates) have been selected to attend the “Young Writers’ Retreat” at SLU on June 9th-13th. Enjoy and learn young ladies!
