Happy first Wednesday of August everyone! It’s that time of year for school traffic which includes buses, car riders and bicycles. Watch out for all of these modes of transportation that are used in some way to transport our students. Consider incorporating a little extra time in your schedules for leisurely and cautiously reaching your destination. This minor adjustment could prevent a major mishap. Be safe and be patient as our children make their way to school. ***'An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.' (Benjamin Franklin)

Reflections:
*On Goal Setting: As the new school year begins, parents/guardians, school administration/faculty and students are doing a lot of goal setting. This involves preparation of the school environment, planning in the homes and the mindset of students. I speak from experience as a mother, teacher/admin (Ret.). All three groups mentioned want to have a successful school year. The school faculty and parents/guardians seem to feel successful when students are respectful and receptive to obeying school rules so that teachers can teach and they (students) can learn. Neither of these would be possible without the positive influence from the home (parents/guardians). With all three groups doing their part, success will be achieved and possibly exceed goals set for this new school year.
***Enjoy the 2025-2026 school year everyone, GPigott
