*Greetings to all on this last week of February. As the temperatures continue to fluctuate and having little to no rain for the upcoming “growing season”, we can still be “Thankful”. It’s been said that some people see a glass as half empty and some see that same glass as half full. I prefer the latter one in order to maintain a positive mindset about any and all of life’s situations. Being content makes life easier. (Philippians 4:12-13)

*During the Black History Program on Sunday, February 22nd three members of the congregation were honored for their work in the church and the community. Sis. Annie Pernell, Bro Anderson Moses and Sis Joanie Jefferson have dedicated their time, works and presence for the betterment and advancement of their church and community. We are Thankful to God for all that they continue to do and have done for us all.

*The United Women In Faith’s Annual Day will be on Sunday, March 1st @ 8:30 am. The speaker for this occasion will be the Rev. Gaynell Nichols.
Pilgrim Rest MBC:
*A Women’s Day Service will be held on Sunday/March 1st at 11:30am.
The Theme for this occasion is: “Strength and Resilience” (Isaiah 40:31) and the Guest Speaker will be Sis. Clorinda Roberts.

*The school’s Annual Black History Month Program is scheduled to be held on Friday, February 27th at 9:00am in the VHS Gymnasium. Dr. Torrence Williams is the guest speaker for this honorable program.
Reflections:
*On Unity: Angie Native Rev. Sidney Burns, Jr. was installed as the Pastor of Christian Union MBC in Sumrall, MS on Sunday, February 22, 2026. I had the privilege of attending this service along with a united group of pastors and churches from LA & MS to witness this sacred event. May the Good Lord continue to Bless Pastor Burns as he continues to do God’s Will.
