*Hello Everyone this is the last Wednesday in April already, with the month of May beginning on Friday (May 1st), which includes the Mother's Day Holiday on Sunday, May 10th. Graduations will be taking place throughout the Parish, as well as the last day of school, in the month of May. It is lining up to be a month filled with more celebrations than I can list here, so try to enjoy them all!
*Congratulations to Angie resident Amy Brown-Spikes on being named Franklinton Primary Teacher of the Year. Thank you for all you do for our students!
*The Council on Aging 2026 Annual Picnic was absolutely enjoyable, in so many ways. The weather was sunny/low humidity, the music, food, snowballs, contests and the people all combined for a very good time. I must admit that I did more visiting with others than I did sitting. Cultivating relationships is essential to a well-rounded life for me.

Reflections:
*On Family: Family is very important in our lives, as it serves as a unit of foundational support for our society. Parents and guardians instill values and model the behaviors that children carry into society, usually beginning with the school(s) they may attend. We adults must be more conscious of our words and actions around our children. They see us, they hear us and mimic us. We can make our homes, schools and world a more peaceful place by intentionally nurturing and training our children more in our homes.
