*The month of May is proving to be an eventful one indeed. At the top of my list is the Blessed Rainfall that we’ve had thus far, after near drought-like conditions. A friend of mine has a saying that states, “Everytime it rains food is coming down from Heaven”. In more ways than one, this is true. I've decided that I’m going to continue to practice being “Thankful & Grateful” in all circumstances. How about you?

Wesley Ray UMC:
*The Mother’s Day Program sponsored by the United Women In Faith was presented. The theme was “Women of the Bible”. Women such as: Eve, Ruth, Mary, Rahab, Queen Esther, Naomi and the Samaritan Woman were portrayed by women of the church. The role that many women played in the church was (and still is) essential to the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This program was truly inspiring.

He further admonished the congregation to be very sure that, “Your Anchor holds and grips the solid Rock, which is Jesus”. Amen

*On Gardening: The benefits of gardening for me are very rewarding. First of all I get to have fresh vegetables. They taste so much better when you can pick and cook straight from your own garden. Also, watching the actual process from seed/plant to mature vegetables is educational. It provides a chance for one to see the stages that a plant goes through in order to “bear fruit”. Lastly, exercise and meditation through repetitive gardening tasks helps me to feel better. I love gardening!
