It’s the last Wednesday of the month ya’ll and I’m feeling accomplished. Though we’ve gone from drought-like, to much rainy and now extreme heat-like weather, I still managed to harvest & share some vegetables from my garden. The watermelons are growing as we speak and I’m hoping they will mature so that I can share them with others as well. #Everytime I share I’m Blessed with more.
Church News:
Wesley Ray UMC:
*The Annual Men’s Day program was held on Father’s Day @ 6pm. The men presented an inspiring program and spirit-filled singing. The guest was Rev. Clarence Dickerson. His message was taken from the book of Matthew 4:1-12 and was entitled: The Most Dangerous Place for the Christian. Rev. Dickerson also reminded us that, “The Lust of the Eye, The Lust of the Flesh and The Pride of Life” are all worldly distractions that lead to ungodly actions. (1 John 2:16). Amen.
*A Reception will be held in Honor of Rev. August & Rev. Moses, as they complete their assignment in the Angie-Charge on Sunday, June 28th beginning at 11:00am. All are welcome to attend this joyous celebration.

Reflections:
#On Bereavement: The state of grief that follows the loss of a loved one is something that most of us have experienced. Our roles as human beings that love one another is to comfort and encourage the bereaved.
On Saturday, June 20th, my community had funerals for four of our fellow brothers in Christ. I knew that all and was close to two of them. Let us all not forget that “Aftercare” is essential for families to successfully adjust to the void (s) in their lives. So, continue to call/text/visit/hug for as long as the bereaved need it. ***Continue to let Love abound, GPigott.
