Barbara Corkern Creel, 76. a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana was called home on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Barbara worked many years at Bogalusa Charity Hospital in the clerical field. She also worked in the Department of Children and Family Services serving families throughout the parish. Barbara was known for her kindness, wisdom and unwavering dedication to her family and to others. Her thoughtfulness, love and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.

Brother: Greg Corkern of Walker

She was preceded in death by her parents Osburn and Ruth Corkern and sister Janet Arnold.
Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, celebrate her life and say their goodbyes at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, Louisiana Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2 pm with Rev. Field Thigpen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her love remains with us always, and her mercy will forever be a blessing.
