Hello there, hope we are all doing well. Thank God, for the nice weather we had for a couple of mornings.
Katrina, no one will never ever forget that name, we have been so blessed, so many times after the storm. My husband, the late James Magee Jr. who was still alive at that time. We were at Riverside Hospital. Everyone was caught off guard at just how bad the storm was going to be. James and I rode out that intense, scary, heart racing storm. There were only 12 people in the hospital at that time, so they brought one more person in because she didn't have oxygen at home.
The late Emma Gene Magee, and Thannie Conerly were the only ones working that day. Then bless my soul guess who they put to work, me, I brought flashlights, food, snacks, coats, you name it I had it. You could name me the old mother Hubbard. Thank God I did. They used the hospital till it was short of everything and had only one or two generators working. They were thankful for my help. It was tense outside, the wind was so bad, trees were popping off everywhere, stuff was flying all around us, I just knew that the roof was coming off, but God, that is all I can say, we owe life to him forever.
Ok, getting back to church news now. Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church, pastored by Rev. Anice Moses is having a 2025 Women's Conference, Women's on the Move. When? September 13, 2025, at 9 am-11 am. Place? 30891 Old Columbia Road Franklinton. The names of the guest speakers are 1. Darlene Hammer, 2. Deborah Bickham, 3. Elesha Lee, 4 Lafayla Hart, 5. Jean Clark, and 6. Dr. Brenda Wiles. A donation of $20 at the door.
Now keep your shoes on and go over to pastor Jerome Warren Sr. revival at the Greater Hayes Creek MBC. I am glad you asked. It is September 14, 2025, Sunday at 8 am. The guest speaker will be Rev. Johnny Causey Sr. from New Jerusalem MBC. On Monday through Wednesday will be Bishop L W Bolton Jr. Evangelist for those three nights, Come and be revived.
Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA pastor Elder Alvin Partman Sr. will have our men's day on September 28 at 10:00 am.
