Throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for opening day on Monday, February 9th was former Demon #11 Blake Orman.
Blake is a 2006 graduate of FHS and played baseball for four years.
At FHS he was an honor student and voted Most Dependable by his 2006 classmates. He attended Demon baseball camp for the first time at age four in 1992 and did so until he became a player and was a camp instructor. As a player he was on two semi-finalist teams and was named all district catcher as a senior. Blake also earned the Gatorade Will to Win Award and received the Coach T Award for the graduate with the highest GPA.
A local business owner, he is a faithful volunteer in Mile Branch during the Washington Parish Fair.
Catching him was former assistant coach for the Demons Chris Garrett.
