An American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol was recently presented by the office of Congresswoman Julia Letlow to the family of Toye Taylor.
Taylor, who passed away on July 4, served as the first Washington Parish President after the parish form of government was changed from Police Jury to Parish President/Parish Council. He was also a former Mayor of Bogalusa and earlier served as a Bogalusa city councilman.
Shown above at the presentation of the flag are, from left to right, former State Sen. Ben Nevers, Ramona Martin of Congresswoman Letlow’s office, wife Susan Taylor, daughter Leigh Ann Taylor, and State Rep. John Wyble.
