The annual 'Carry The Cross' walk to the Fairgrounds will be held on Good Friday, April 18, in Franklinton.
Every year on Good Friday the procession follows the cross from the former Dirt Cheap store at Eastgate Shopping Center all the way to the Fairgrounds.
While 'Carry The Cross' is organized by First Baptist Church of Franklinton, everyone is invited to join the procession and follow the cross regardless of what church they might belong to, or perhaps no church at all.
Meet at the former Dirt Cheap store at 9 a.m. Friday for the walk to the Fairgrounds.
Each year members of many different churches and faiths join together with members of First Baptist as they follow the cross in a powerful and joyous Good Friday procession.
