Parish Playoff Picture
The parish playoff picture this week has come all the way into focus with the conclusion of the regular season. Note that for LHSAA schools, the top 28 teams in the power ratings qualify for the playoffs. The top four seeds receive a first round bye and will then play their first game at home in the second round. A change for this season is that the higher seeded team hosts in all rounds.
Franklinton finishes as the #1 seed in non select Division II and will have a bye in the first round. They will play the winner of 16 West Feliciana vs 17 Carroll. The game will be at Demon Stadium against either opponent.
Pine is the 9 seed in non select Division III and will host St Helena, the 24 seed. The winner of this game plays the winner of the 8 Kaplan vs 25 North Webster game. Pine would go to Kaplan or host North Webster.
Bogalusa is the 22 seed in non select Division III and will travel to 8-2 Lakeside, the 11 seed. If Bogalusa wins, they would play the winner of the 6 Sterlington vs 27 Patterson game. Bogalusa would go to Sterlington but host Patterson.
Varnado is the 27 seed in non select Division IV and will travel to 6 Logansport. The winner plays the winner of the 11 Elton and 22 Basile. Varnado would be on the road against either team.
Bowling Green will play a semi-final game at home this week against Wayne Academy.
