Hello Everyone! I hope all is well and/or better concerning Hurricane Francine. Though many businesses and schools were closed during the week, the weekend after the storm had activities available such as the one at The Pride & Hope Ministry & Activity Center in Angie.
The Second Springhill District Youth Outreach gathered on Saturday, September 14th to learn about: Professionalism in the workplace and networking in schools/childcare centers. This event was sponsored by Greater Center Baptist and Sunflower M.B. Churches. Sis. Myra Magee presented the occasion and explained the agenda. The breakout sessions were both informative and engaging, with the following facilitators: Kathy Peters, Demetria Rayford, Penny Moses, Mae Ratliff, Laquisha Mark, Vicki Burns, Lubertha Peters, Bridgette Cole, Mrs. Harry, Dorothy Lewis, Mrs. Barnes and Sarah Nichols. Refreshments were served by Annie Allen and Demetric Peters. Remarks were given by Sis. Mary Greely and Minister Tammy Pittman. The President Cloria Norman congratulated the group on a job well done!
