On Saturday, Oct. 12th it was nice to see a group participating in a Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch and Walk, in Angie LA. This honorable event was held at the Pride and Hope Ministry Ole Hickory Restaurant and began at 8am. Ladies wore “Breast Cancer Awareness” shirts and/or their “Pink” during their walk to raise funds for a cure. Many Thanks to the organizers for this much needed event (Shell Miller, Tina McClaurin, Beverly Kelly and Myra Magee).
Church News:
*Rev. Anice Moses delivered the Opening Invocation at the Fair on Thursday, October 17th. Rev. Moses along with Rev. Terrence August are Co-Pastors of The Angie Charge, which consist of: Live Oak, Mary’s Chapel and Wesley Ray UMC.
First MBC (Varnado):
*A Fall Festival/Trunk O Treat event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th from 6pm-8pm. All are welcome to attend.

*The 5th Grade Spelling Bee School Winners were: First Place: Zayden Escher & the Runner-Up: Maliah Johnson. Zayden went on to represent the school at the Fair's Spelling Bee at Mile Branch Schoolhouse and won 1st Place! *Congratulations Zayden
