I hope everyone is having some safe summer fun this month. Please adhere to all water safety rules when swimming or boating to avoid incidents of drowning and/or injury. As the temperatures climb, I know it’s tempting to forget about safety because the water cools us off and is fun but, just don’t be careless. Remember also that there’s safety in numbers.

*Holy Communion Sunday Worship Service was held on June 9th @ 11 am. Pastor August’s sermon came from the book of I Corinthians 11:28-29 and was entitled “Examine Your Heart”.
First MBC (Varnado):
*Vacation Bible School is in session this week from June 10-14 for ages 4-14 from 6pm to 8:15pm. ***There’s still time to attend.
Mt. Zion MBC (Varnado):
*The church held a “Free Clothes and Home Goods Giveaway” on Saturday, June 8th. Prayer was available for all those who requested it.

*NFL Defensive End and VHS Alumni Andre Jones of the Washington Commanders is hosting a“Free Football Camp” on Saturday, June 15th from 9am-12pm at Varnado High School. ***The Angie Pee Wee Football Association will have sign ups on Saturday, June 15th, from 9am to 12pm. This is for both football and cheerleaders and is for children ages 5 yrs. - 12 yrs.
