The Fair has come and gone but that beautiful weather continues. We have begun this beautiful month of November with “Fall Back Time”, as well as a focus on “Thankfulness”. Being thankful is a wonderful way to live life because this way few things can disappoint us. The last Thursday of this month is designated as Thanksgiving Day and is much needed in the world in which we live. Be Thankful to God in every circumstance. Be Thankful!

*A Family & Friends Day service was held on Sunday, October 24th. The guest speaker for this occasion was Rev. Reginald Russell. His sermon was entitled: What Is a Friend? (Colssians 3:12-15)
First MBC (Varnado):
*The Congregation Celebrated Pastor Appreciation Month in October for the following Clergy: Bro Kelly Penton, Pastor; Bro Mike Thomas, Associate Pastor and Bro Mike Mathews, Youth Pastor.
Varnado Methodist Church:
*The church will have a Fall Festival on Saturday, November 9th from 2pm to 5pm.
Mt. Zion MBC (Varnado):
*A Free Clothes and Home Goods Giveaway is scheduled for Saturday, November 9th from 11am to 1pm.

*The August 2024 Student of the Month is ? 2025 Senior, Ja'Maya Dalcour. Congratulations!
*The school received recognition for its “Above State Average for FAFSA Completion Rate” for 2023-2024. This is Outstanding!
*The Lady Cats Volleyball team celebrated the end of their season with a pizza party. *The Team, Head Coach Karen Creel, Assistant Coaches Kashanda Moses & Ti’Airra Green are to be commended for a “Job Well Done”!
*The Annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Program is scheduled for Monday, November 11th. Breakfast will be served at 8 am and the program begins at 9am. The Guest Speaker is U.S. Army National Guard Specialist Cardez Jackson, who is a VHS 2014 Graduate.
