Hi Everyone, I hope your week is going well thus far. Don’t forget to do something special for your mother and/or the person who serves as your mother-figure, on Mother’s Day. Spending quality time together is an excellent choice and one of my personal all time gifts to receive. Whatever you do, do it in love and not as a mere just obligation.

Live Oak UMC:
*Communion Worship service was held on May 5th @ 8:30am. Pastor August’s sermon was entitled “Joy” (John 15:11). He shared that if anyone wants “Joy” they must do three things: Find the source of “Joy”, which is Jesus Christ; Know that Jesus’ Joy will remain in us and Realize that this “Joy” is sufficient for all our needs. Amen.

*Varnado High and Junior High 4-H Clubs Won 3rd place in the Washington Parish 4-H Achievement Day!
Wesley Ray Elem. (WRE):
*The PTO held a successful Bake Sale and Raffle on Saturday, May 4th to raise funds to treat teachers and other staff to lunch, during “Teacher Appreciation Week”, on May 6-10.
