Hello there, I hope all is well. We have had really hot weather with the beautiful sunshine for the most part, and yes, we had some rain.
The Juneteenth turned out good on Sunday, June 16 by the park at Supt. Tate’s Church. There were outstanding community workers, and leaders who own businesses in Franklinton, La. Thank God these are young people who are trying to make things much better for us. I will give you more and maybe some pictures, on a later date. We want to thank God first, for Christy Burris and family, and all of those who were a part of the Juneteenth Celebration on that day. Christy has been a blessing for so many people all around these parks. She is sweet just like the sweets that she sells.
Let us turn the page to other things; so many family reunions are going on this month and next month out at the State Park. The chickens and the hogs don't have a chance!
The church pastor, Rev. Bruce Brown of Hosanna Baptist Church, will be having a program. Called the 66 Book of the Bible, yes, I will tell you when, June 29, 2024, at 6 pm. Bring someone with you please!
Also, another church reminder is Southwestern Diocese 85th Annual Convention will start June 26th through June 30th, 2024. It will be at the Four Points by Sheraton and Convention Center. The address is 2301 North MacArthur Drive, Alexandria, La 71303. Bishop Leroy Divinity, Jr., and Elder Wallace Bell will be attending.
