We finally made it back home and these weary travelers are tired! We had a great time in TN visiting with family and friends and even got to see many bears at our cabin. One was way too close for comfort since he decided to climb up on my aunt’s porch, get up on her porch railing, and climb up to her roof! They are beautiful to look at and observe, but I tend to shy away from them, because I have seen the damage they can cause in more ways than one.
This week the Youth of Enon Baptist Church and other area churches will be at Camp Arise. They will be having a time of worship, celebration, bible study, and missions, among other activities. I believe July 28th will be Youth Sunday, so we can learn more about what our Youth experienced at both Camp Fuego and Camp Arise. They will also be leading our morning worship that day.
July 19th will be Blessing of Food. July 27th will be Water Day for Children in Action from 10 am to 2 pm. July 28th kids will be able to bring a sack lunch and they can play on the waterslides. August 14th Children in Action will start a study on friendships and what the bible says about it.
Condolences to the families of Fran Perry, Peggy Mizell, Elmore Ryals, Ralph Branton, Grace Vining, and the Stokes family.

The Enon Library had their Summer Reading Program Graduation and their yearly visit with the Volunteers from Washington Parish Fire District #8 who sprayed them with water off of the fire truck. They had 94 graduates this year! Congratulations to those who completed the Summer Reading Program.
I hope you all have a great and safe week. Please be in prayer for our country and each other. This has been a crazy weekend, and we need to pray for all of our leaders both local, state, and especially national.
Also please be aware of the heat advisories for this week. Try to stay hydrated and cool if at all possible. Until next time….
