Summer is officially “over”, and school is back in session. School started for students 1st through 6th on Wednesday August 7th. I hope that each of our kiddos, teachers, and staff had a great first day back. Now if the heat would let up a little, that would make for an even better week.
Youth Sunday was August 4th. The Youth did a wonderful job recounting the amazing time they had at both Camp Fuego and Camp Arise. Brother Lenny preached the morning service.
There was a Prayer Walk at EES on August 4th. Business meeting will be August 7th for EBC. Youth and Children in Action will start back August 14th. Family Lego Night will be August 24th from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Condolences to the family of Nick Westel and Lora Lynn Fendlason. Happy birthday to Noah Burch, Karl Casanova, Belinda Jones Morales, Suzy Thigpen, and Chris Goss.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Testing begins August 8th. August 9th all students who have their papers signed and returned will receive a “wear a hat” coupon for August 16th. August 16th will be $1 Denim Day. August 26th will be our Fundraiser Kickoff—The Haunted Hustle Fun Run.
Labor Day Holiday (No School) will be September 2nd and September 3rd (Students work from home) will be a Virtual Day.
The Scrabble players from the Enon Library had a great time last week and got to check out the gardening project at the library. There will be another Scrabble game on August 30th at 2 pm. If you need any information about the library, you can call 985-839-9385.
