Well, we have completed an entire week of school. I am still trying to get into the groove of things, and I am hoping each week gets better and better. I hope all of our K and Pre-K students have enjoyed their first day of school. We are loving getting to know all of our new Enon Eagles.
All regular Wednesday Night Activities at Enon Baptist Church have resumed. Children in Action is at 5:30 pm for supper and 6 pm starts class. Worship practice is at 7 pm. Sunday night Children’s Bible is at 5:30 pm and Adult Bible Study is at 6 pm. August 24th is Family Lego Night, and all parents and children are invited. It will be from 6 pm to 8 pm. Legos will be provided.

Enon Elementary School as well as the other schools in Washington Parish received a $50,000 grant from the Louisiana Center for Safe Schools for school safety. These funds will help provide protection for students and staff. August 23rd is Fall Picture day. August 26th will begin our Fundraiser-Haunted Hustle Fun Run. August 30th is $1 Denim Day. Labor Day Holiday is September 2nd (no school) and a Virtual Learning Day is September 3rd (students work at home).
The Enon Library has lots of new books in stock. Stop by, visit with the ladies, and check out a few books. The family of Kirby Green Northcutt helped with updates at the library. There is a whiteboard and a couple of new chairs. August 30th they will have Scrabble at 2 pm.
