The LSU game was a good one to watch this past weekend. We joked around about maybe seeing certain people on TV and then it hit us that we may actually see someone we know like Coach PJ Burkhalter! P. J. coached and taught at Franklinton High School, and we sure miss him but are proud of his hard work at Nicholls State. It was good to see him in his element!
Enon Baptist Church will have their Annual Fall Fest and Chili Cookoff on September 21st. Entries should be turned in by 4 pm. Plates will be for a donation and eating will start at 5 pm. Cake Walk will start at 4:30 pm, and other games will begin at 5 pm. Tickets will be 50 cents each or 4 for $1. All proceeds will benefit the children’s ministry.
EBC will observe the Lord’s Supper during morning worship on September 15th.
The Youth will be going to Urban Air September 14th. They will leave the church at 3 pm and should be back between 8 or 9 pm. The Youth are also selling Loving God, Loving People shirts this month. They are $20 each and the colors are blue or gray. They will have sweatshirts in gray only and they are $25 each. Just check with one of the Youth for an order form.
The Washington Parish Baptist Association Women’s Missions and Ministry will hold a “Back to School Brunch” on September 14th.
September 8th through 15th is the Week of Prayer for the Georgia Barnette Louisiana Missions Offering. Please give as you feel led. If you would like to know more about this please contact Brother Chris.

Our school Book Fair was amazing! I know Mrs. Hollie seemed very excited about the new Book Fair Program that was used. September is Library Card Sign Up Month. Make sure you and your kiddos have a library card to use! September is also Foghorn Leghorn and Friends Month, every Thursday after school stop by the library for a visit and video. Don’t forget Scrabble Day for Adults is September 27th!
