What a week it has been at the Washington Parish Free Fair! The weather was amazing and finally felt like it did when I was younger.
I am so happy that I got to see so many friends, family, and former students that I haven’t seen in a while. I loved seeing the animals, all the crafts, photos, art, writings, sitting at/in the Jones Cabin at Mile Branch, eating the yummy food, and so much more!
Big Congratulations to Bailey Burdette on being crowned Washington Parish Fair Queen and Presly Phillips Teen Queen.
Gracie and I were able to go to the Rodeo Saturday night and I got to see my former student Zach Naegele bull ride!

Happy birthday to Cheryl McElveen, Jolene Black, my brother-in-law David Thigpen, one of our fabulous paras Ashley Jenkins, our amazing Art Teacher Faith Ginn, Cindy Corkern, Scott Breland, and Deby Pigott.
Red Ribbon Week is October 21st to 25th at Enon Elementary School.
Our Enon Eagles did a great job performing on the Fair Stage. They also had MANY ribbons won for various things like writings, artwork, crafts, etc. We are so proud of our Spelling Bee Participants: 5th grade Zach Diaz and 6th grade Arabella Gay.
We had National 4-H Week the week before the Fair. Our students have been earning rewards for completing lessons on a math program called Zearn, and our kids are doing an amazing job!
I hope you all have a great week and are able to recover from the Fair. I know I will be sleeping well for the next few days. Not quite sure how I will function with having to cook again, but I will do my best. I am so thankful I got to see so many of you and visit. I appreciate you all! Until next time….
