I do not know what is so spectacular about my house, but crazy things happen here often. We have the normal animals that visit, deer, turkeys, random dogs or cats, but Sunday we had a great White Egret that wanted to visit. He (or she) walked around our yard, took a stroll to the back yard, and decided that he wanted to perch on our roof for a bit. I mean I have seen birds on my roof before, but not one of that size!
Enon Baptist Church will have Trunk or Treat on October 31st from 6 pm to 7 pm. November 2nd will be the “Lift Ladies Conference” at Plainview Baptist Church from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. EBC Night on the Levee will be November 2nd. This will be one of the Youth’s fundraisers for Camp Fuego 2025. (if you ever wanted to donate towards something, this camp has impacted both of my children and their friends more than you could ever imagine) November 16th will be a safety seminar from 11 am to 2 pm at EBC, please sign up. November 9th will be Kids Movie Night at the church. If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Alice. If you would like to add a relative to our annual Veteran’s Day video, please submit a picture with the name to Brother Chris Wheeler by November 3rd. Business Meeting will be November 6th.
Condolences to the families of Donna Dye and Eric Paulsen. I feel like I have watched Eric Paulsen on Channel 4 News or PM Magazine my entire life. When you grow up watching the news to get ready for school or work you feel like you begin to “know” someone, or they feel like family.

Last week our Enon Eagles celebrated Red Ribbon Week. We enjoyed being able to dress up and learn more about how to stand up for ourselves and SAY NO TO DRUGS. We also had our Haunted Hustle Fun Run. Several students were able to slime our Principal Mrs. Shannon, and Assistant Principal Mr. Barrett. Enon Elementary 4-H members brought a bunch of great craft supplies to the Enon Library. The next Scrabble Day will be November 22nd. The Enon Library will have a Halloween Movie and Grab and Go all day October 31st.
