Oh, my goodness! Congratulations to the Franklinton High School Demons! We are headed to the Superdome, State Playoffs! I am so very proud of these young men, their coaches, families, and everyone who has had a hand in helping them grow. Some I taught, and some I have known since my girls were in Junior High.
I get emotional thinking how much my daddy would have enjoyed this season. There has rarely been a time when I didn’t go to at least one or two games in a season. I am so thankful that even though it is high school football, it is so much more than that. It is hard work, dedication, family, friends, comradery, and basically fun.
Good luck to you Mighty Demons, we have been there cheering you on each step of the way and will be there for the end! As several said in 2010 and a few have already said, “Last one to leave Franklinton, turn the lights off!” (because everyone will be at the game)
Mile Branch Christmas was great as usual. Mom and Aunt Charlotte were able to sit in the Jones Cabin with Aunt Clara Fay. I am going to tell y’all now. Those ladies know how to enjoy life and have fun! (and we are hilarious even if we are the only ones who think that haha!) It is always fun to see the Christmas decorations, handmade items, and enjoy the amazing snacks and food!
