Well, the 2023-2024 school year is coming to an end. This week will be the last few days of school and the beginning of SUMMER VACATION. I am so excited to wrap up my 24th year of teaching and I really wonder where all the time has gone. I now have 3 coworkers that I have taught at Enon Elementary. One I taught in 6th grade, one in 5th grade, and one in 1st grade. It feels weird, but I am so thankful they chose to come back, and I have the honor of working alongside them.
Enon Baptist Church will have a work day on June 1st. Breakfast will be ready at 7 am. Also, Mrs. Alice will need help setting up for VBS. We are taking a Love Offering for an Evangelistic Outreach; if you would like to give, please get with Brother Chris. May 26th there will be a House Warming for Mrs. Alice Green Pigott at 2 pm. We are gearing up for VBS June 2nd to 6th from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. The Youth are selling Nothing Bundt Cakes which will wrap up on May 26th. The Youth will also be participating in VBS and on June 7th they will be kayaking at Okatoma. During the month of June the Youth will be fundraising using a money calendar. (example if you chose June 9th, you would donate $9) Camp Fuego is June 24-28 and Camp Arise is July 18-22. Children in Action meet on Wednesday nights.
Condolences to the families of John Carden, Hazel Lewis, and Wesley Hano.

Enon Elementary School had their Awards Day last week. We are so proud of all of our Eagles and their accolades. Congratulations to an EES 4-Her Annabelle Venable. She represented Washington Parish in the Southeast District Culinary Contest. She received 3rd place overall in Sugar, a Blue ribbon in Ground Beef, Beef Other Cuts, Louisiana Commodities, and a Red ribbon for Crawfish.
Congratulations to Adelyn Seal on winning the Mother’s Day drawing for the Enon Library. The Enon Library has many new books arriving just in time for the Summer Reading Program.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. If you have any information you would like me to put in my article, feel free to email it to me. I know there will be a lot of vacations, family reunions, weddings, graduations, and births coming up. Until next time…….
