Enon Baptist Church wrapped up a fantastic week of Vacation Bible School, learning about Jesus as kid. We had a great turn out with both kids and adults. The kids learned that everyone needs to know that no matter what Jesus loves them. The kids did a “show off” of sorts on Sunday to show and tell the congregation songs, verses, and favorite things they learned. The Youth and adults had a great time kayaking on Friday. The Youth have a Money Calendar set up at church for donations. (for example, if you choose June 10th then you donate $10) The Youth will be going to Camp Fuego June 24th to 28th. Please be in prayer for them, the chaperones, and counselors. Camp Arise will be July 18th to 22nd.
Condolences to the family of Wendy Hanhart and Josh Maravich.
Happy birthday to one of our amazing 4th grade teachers Amanda Porter, Whitney Newman, Winola Holliday, Diana Casanova, Christal Mizell, Alan Fussell, my FANTASTIC oldest brother Mike Sharp (his day of birth is June 12th, but his new “birth” day with a lifesaving bone marrow transplant is June 14th), and Emily Jones.
The Franklinton High School Beta Club will be heading to Savannah, Georgia this Saturday for Beta Nationals. I am honored to be able to go again this year with a fantastic group of young people. Best of luck to all of the students competing and please pray for our safety as we travel. I am excited to visit somewhere I have never been and will take lots of pictures!
Congratulations to Enon Elementary School’s very own Mia Kopelman on being crowned the 2024 Young Miss Watermelon Festival Queen. We are so proud of our Enon Eagle!
I am definitely not rushing the summer, but if you need a copy of the school supply list for EES, check out the school’s Facebook Page or the website.
The Enon Library has a wonderful Summer Reading Program going on, please call the library if you have any questions about it.
June 14th will be my brother Mike’s one year anniversary of his bone marrow transplant. We are forever grateful for the person who gave the bone marrow and pray we can one day meet them, to THANK them for saving his life. I will forever share the information about Be The Match. You must be at least 18 to register on Be The Match and they will send you a kit in the mail. All you have to do is swab your cheek (painless) and read the directions to send back in. Also, the blood banks are constantly in need of blood. If you can give blood, please do so. So many families are affected by various diseases and accidents, giving blood is the least we can do to help.
I hope you all have a great week. Feel free to send me pictures or information about any trips or special times going on in your lives that you would like for me to share. Until next time……
