Greetings from Townsend, TN! I hope you all had a great week. I am hoping that it won’t be too hot up here in TN, but only time will tell. I know it is supposed to be a hot one at home. One of the days was supposed to have a heat index of 114 degrees, which is ridiculous. I know I shouldn’t complain because I am not out in it working with gear and other things, but wow that is warm! Please make sure you stay indoors as much as possible and stay hydrated! I hope you all have a fantastic 4th of July as well. I feel so blessed to live in such an area with so many amazing people.
The Youth of Enon Baptist Church (and friends) had a fantastic time at Camp Fuego this past week! When I got Gracie and Annalise home, they could not stop talking about the amazing time they had. I am so grateful for Camp Fuego and the phenomenal staff there. I always know that my kiddos will be safe, loved, and well taken care of in every aspect. We actually have several students and former students from Washington Parish who staff there each summer. When I was in high school and college we went to Centrifuge at Union University in Jackson, TN and Gulf Shores Baptist Assembly in Pass Christian, MS. So many wonderful memories of the people and lessons learned. I am so happy my girls can experience this same loving and caring atmosphere.
Enon Baptist Church Youth will not be having their Wednesday night meetings until August. Camp Arise will be July 18-22. Children in Action will not be having their Wednesday night meetings until August. EBC will be having their 4th of July Celebration on Sunday, July 7th at Riverbend Campground at 6 pm. Feel free to bring something like finger foods, homemade ice cream, watermelon, or drinks if you would like. We would love to have you join us for fun, food, and fellowship.
Condolences to the families of Jewlean Hemphill, Dorothy Allen Gill, Kaylynn Brumfield, Roy Magee, and Garrett Ward.
Happy birthday to Clara Adams, Clara Patton, Rose Hickman, one of our great 2nd grade teachers Sarah Morse, and Maryann Mizell.
I am so not ready to be printing this, but as a heads up here are dates for Meet the Teacher at Enon Elementary School. August 6th from 8 am to 9 am will be Pre-K through 2nd grade, 9 am to 10 am 3rdthrough 6th grade. (You may bring school supplies, pay supply fees and spirit shirts, and get your ID picture made)
The Enon Library will be having their Graduation Day for the Summer Reading Program on July 10th. Our kiddos have been learning so much about different topics, animals, cultures, etc. Most of all I am excited about how many books they have been reading!
I pray you have a wonderful and relaxing week. If you have been on vacations and would like for me to share pictures or your experience please message me. The same goes for birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, high school reunions, weddings, births, etc.
I plan to be at Rocky Branch in Walland, TN Friday night to visit with the “ladies” (my mom’s friends), and listen to the music. I am sure I will be tapping my foot to the beat (in honor of Uncle Troy), and humming along, maybe even a little singing.(to honor my Daddy). Until next time……
