Hello everyone! I can’t believe that we are half way through this year. But, unfortunately, hurricane season has only begun and we are already seeing lots of activity out there that could affect us in the next few days. We can’t change the weather, but we can prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Please keep the family and friends of Mrs. Dot Allen Gill and Mr. Nolan David Alford in prayer during their time of loss.
The MHS Class of 1999 gathered for a 25 year class reunion. Those in attendance were Whitney Cassidy Bahm, Keosha Martin James, Rikki Moak Morris, Ragan Brumfield Thomas and Melissa Penny Stringfield. Though only a few, they all had a wonderful time.

Silver Creek Campground will have their 4th of July celebration this weekend. Friday night, July 5th, there will be a DJ and karaoke from 7-11 PM. Saturday, Bingo games will begin at 1 PM, followed by the mud bog at 3. Delta Dirt Band at 7 PM and a marvelous fireworks show at 9:30.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church and Mt. Hermon Baptist Church will have their Vacation Bible Schools next week. You may register your child on the church’s Facebook page. Bogue Chitto will have VBS in the mornings from 8:30-11:30. It is open to all students who have completed PreK through completed 6th grade. MHBC will have VBS in the evenings from 5:30-8:30 for ages 3 to 14 years old.
The Youth groups of Bogue Chitto and Mt. Hermon, as well as Mt. Pisgah, recently went to Fuge Camp at Mississippi College. They all had a great time and feel closer to the Lord.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church had Freedom Sunday this past week. We all wore red, white and blue to show our patriotic spirit. After church, we gathered for a “picnic” to eat hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade ice cream and more.
Sunday evening, we welcomed Gabby Delaney to share her testimony at Hope Alive, and what a testimony it was! Join us on Sunday evenings at 7 for the meeting, and 6 for food and fellowship.
The past two Saturdays, our Full House group went kayaking down Magee’s Creek and had an adventurous time!
