Happy Birthday to Aunt Brenda Wilson! She celebrated her special day this past Friday, August 2nd at Bo’s Steakhouse. Joining her for the festivities were two of her grandchildren, Macey and Trenton Wilson, Earl and Rachel Gill, Ann Hensley, Christine King, myself and Raylan Sanders. We all had a great time!

Mt. Hermon School will have Open House on August 27th at 5 PM.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church had a Back to School party last Monday. The children and youth were served nachos and cheese, ice cream, chips and more. After a Bible story was told and prayers for the new school year were said, they all had a wonderful time on the water slide.
Disciple Kids will begin on Wednesday, September 4th, from 5:30-7 PM. They will be learning about “The Good News of Jesus”, a study of The Gospels.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church will have a church revival beginning on Sunday, September 8th-Wednesday, September 11th at 6:30 PM. Every family is invited.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church had Youth Sunday on August 4th. The children and youth led the service and they shared stories from summer church camps that they attended this summer. Also, special prayers were said for all the children, youth, teachers and staff as they begin a new school year.
Last Sunday night at Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church, we were blessed to hear the testimony of Deszi Hill at our Hope Alive meeting. If you would like to hear it, you may go to the church Facebook page. It was also “Chip Night”, which is always great to see people celebrating their accomplishments.
The Young at Hearts group will meet for their monthly get together on Thursday, August 15th (11:30 AM) at Eat Out in Franklinton. This is the new Mexican restaurant in town.
