The descendants of William Lee Gill and Audie Painter Gill gathered for a Gill Reunion last Saturday at the beautiful home of Mark and Dana Harrison. Approximately 40 family members were present. William and Audie Gill had 10 children: Linda Gill Tamor, William "Daniel" Gill, Marjorie Gill Miller (dec.), Richard Gill, Wyman Gill (dec.), Marie Gill Webb, Patricia Gill Perdue, Cynthia "Cindy" Gill Reynolds, Perry Gill (dec.), and the youngest of the bunch is my dad, William "Earl" Gill. Aunt Linda, Uncle Daniel, Uncle Richard, Aunt Cindy, Aunt Marie, and my dad were all at the reunion. Uncle Richard came all the way from Washington state by train to be there!
Aunt Mary Lou Gill, Uncle Daniel's wife, presented to everyone the Gill Family History. After many hours of genealogy research, she traced ancestors back to the 1700's. This was very interesting. Cousin Loralyn Gill DeRoche organized family trivia games where everyone could learn about the childhood days of the Gill siblings.
We had lots of food, laughs, and memories were made.
