Last Monday, we celebrated the birthday of our great country, Independence Day. Some may not think it is great, but if they don't know it, there are many places they would not want to live. Many things we cannot control just be thankful for what we have, our family, church family and many friends. One thing for sure we can definitely count on the Lord, no matter what!

Howard James from Lake Charles was home visiting with his sister Evelyn Burch and other family members for a few days.
Can you believe it has rained every day for eleven days now; some was heavy rain when others were light showers. Just the same it rained. I haven't been able to get the yards mowed, just wet enough, could not mow. In my July 25, 2007 article I wrote we had rain for nine days straight. It rained every day of vacation Bible School at Mt. Pisgah. Recreation was held inside every day.
Dairy Day- June 15th
A nice crowd gathered under the beautiful shade tree at the LSU AgCenter Southeast Research Station for dairy day. Dairy men from Washington, Tangipahoa and St. Helena parishes were honored. My brother, Troy Ingram, received a plaque for Milk Quality award-gold for 2019 and 2020; silver award for 2021. Several other dairy men also received a plaque. For the last two years Dairy Day was cancelled; everyone was happy once again to have the Dairy Day program. Also being recognized and received ribbons were the dairy judging contest, and 4-H Club food contest. Numerous door prizes were drawn. After the meeting a delicious meal was enjoyed. It was all good, especially the tender brisket. It was the best I have ever eaten. I heard others say how good it was. The weather was good and fairly cool sitting under the huge shade trees, but when I got in the car to leave it must have been 100 degrees inside. I quickly had a melt down and took some time getting cooled off.
