Hello everyone! Well, it's still hot outside in the heat - those air conditioners have been working over these the past weeks. If you can't take the heat, guess what "Get out of the kitchen. Ha! Ha! Ha!" Just a little humor. So, laugh, it will do you good!
Our children and youth spent this week at Camp Living Waters. Report was they are having fun. They are keeping cool in the pool and on the waterslide. I look forward to hearing all about their week at camp. I pray it was a safe and fun time for them. When I went with them to camp, we always had a great time.
My granddaughter Breanna with Alaya and Kalem came and drove us to Covington to the doctor a few days ago. We stopped at Waffle House to eat before returning home. He brought us tomatoes, squash, cantaloupe, bell peppers, and sausage. We had a nice, safe outing. She was happy to get some fresh peas. Bryan is doing about the same. He doesn't have to be on oxygen 24-7. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you, Mrs. Doris, for all the cards and sweet thoughts.

A couple of weeks ago I had an unusual experience. Late in the afternoon about dark I discovered I had no water. Oh No! I guess there is a busted pipe somewhere. Naturally my first thought was to go cut the water off. I go down to cut off the valve, I knelt on the ground to get to it. I had a problem getting up. As I moved around trying to et up I got into an ant bed. I began to panic. When I finally was able to get up those ants had covered my legs and hands. I couldn't get in the car and the house fast enough. Those ants were eating me up. I only had a little bit of alcohol and then the Scope. By this time, I was itching like crazy, crying and my legs were weak. I finally did find a jug with some water in it, and I was able to wash the mud and grass off. It had rained then night before and the ground was wet and muddy. I scratched and rubbed for hours. I had ant bites all over me. This was a very miserable time. You see, I thought I was helping- I am hardheaded, but I'm getting where I can't do things like I used to. Will I ever learn? Thank the Lord Bryan took care of it the next day.
Thursday. June 27th Jacob Eder celebrated his 24th birthday. You may not know him. All I can say is, you have missed out on something special. I've known him for about two years. Jacob is a multi-award-winning Elvis Tribute artist and puts on a great performance. Hearing him sing perks up my spirit and I also get that needed exercise moving around to the best of the music. Jackie and I went to see him a few weeks ago at Hammond on Saturday night. Chris carried us to McComb on Wednesday night the same week. I got a double portion that week. You probably remember he came to Franklinton for my birthday celebration last year. The best birthday ever.
Independence Day is tomorrow July 4th. Enjoy yourself, but be safe, drive with caution, the life you save just might be your own.
Keep on Smiling - prayerfully Nell.
