Happy July birthday to these special ones: Cherry Estes, Sister Sandy Miller, Claire McGuire, Lacyn Ann Hayden, Sankera Bickham, Kimberly Morris, Charles Morris, Carrell Holmes, Brett Guy, Patrick Bankston, Kendell Watson, Cameron Pullens, Michelle Trotter, Roxanne Graham, Priscialla Morris, Shaina Roux, Briley Painter, and Natalee Johnson. I hope you had a blessed birthday celebrating with your family and friends.
On June 16 we celebrated Father's Day at Mt. Pisgah during the morning worship time. Special recognition was given. The oldest father at church was Percy Raybourn, the youngest father was Jeremy Hebert, and the youngest grandfather was Randall Penton. They were given a decorative Bible clip. They shared briefly. All other fathers were given a Bible marker. Nell was in charge of the recognition. Several shared about their father. We also had special music.
Breanna and the kids came a few days before Father's Day. She treated us to lunch at Bogue Chitto Cafe'. It was also nice to be driven there and back. On Saturday of Father's Day Bryan enjoyed a favorite meal of ribeye steak and salad. We had lunch at home.
With June being National Dairy month, the 10th annual Dairy Day was held June 6th at Southeast Research Station just out of Franklinton on Highway 16. Everyone gathered under the big shade trees. A brief meeting was held along with door prizes and awards. Milk Quality awards were presented to twenty dairy farmers. My brother Troy Ingram received a plaque for gold. 4-Her's were awarded ribbons of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the dairy food contest and poster contest. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch along with milk and ice cream. Shirts along with useful items were available as giveaways. Troy's sisters were there to support him. In the past dairy farmers hosted dairy day. Several years ago, dairy day was held at the Ingram dairy farm.
My granddaughter Breanna's birthday was June 19th. She and the children met us at Mae's Restaurant in Tylertown for a birthday lunch. We surely did enjoy a country meal and time together.
So far everyone has been enjoying summer vacation but guess what, it will soon come to a close. August 7th will be here before we know it and here we go back to school again. Some are playing ball, attending church camp and out of town visiting with family and friends.
My brother Troy Ingram has been in the hospital and is still under doctor's care. Our family asks for your prayers. We also have others on the prayer list. There is nothing that God can't handle. He is the physician.
Thought for the week! To experience God's presence (power), we must first admit that we are weak.
I look forward to sharing with you next week, same time-same station! Hang in there! Your faithful and loving friend- Nell.
