Greetings once again to all my faithful readers! Can you believe August in here? Time just moves right along. By the way from last week's writing the rain continued. We've had rain not seven days, but thirteen days before we had a break. During that time, I couldn't get the yards mowed. It would rain just enough to interrupt my mowing and the grass just kept on growing for two days- no rain the mowing got done, looked like you could have baled hay.
My niece Rebekah celebrated her birthday Wednesday, July 31st. Her mom Rose went to spend the night with her. Happy belated birthday greeting from your Aunt Nell.
Mrs. Jean Burris' birthday was July 22nd. Happy belated birthday to you sweet lady from your family and friends.

Did you know that birds make their home/nest in a wreath. As a matter of fact a Christmas wreath still hangs on the back door. When I discovered it there were three tiny eggs in it. A few days later Bryan told me they had hatched. When the door opens the mama bird flies away. Thursday the fourth Bryana saw that the babies had fallen out of the nest. He put them back in the nest and hoping they would be ok. Thankfully the cat didn't see them. If so, she would have a Fourth of July feast. The other day we held Alaya and Kalem up to see them. At times you could see their little mouths open, waiting for something to eat. Hopefully they will soon be able to fly and go with their mama.
Jackie and I enjoyed eating at Cane' Seafood a couple of weeks ago. They have the best fried catfish and baked potatoes.
We have several on the prayer list. Join us in prayer for the sick, lonely, shut-ins, and those who have lost loved ones. Also pray for the leaders of our country, church and our community. Lord, we thank you for answered prayers. We are in great need for a touch from you. You can heal all wounds and lift our spirits.
Thought for the week! Everything that happens in this life is a gift. Even as you struggle through difficult times you are growing strength and wisdom that will help you too continue down the road.
Until next writing take care, think positive, and show love to others. Smile God loves you and so do I- Nell.
