Greetings once again! At the time of this writing (Wed.) it's raining, and the hurricane is predicted to come tonight on early tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will not be bad for us, but you never know they will do. Sometimes they change and go in another direction. I pray for the Lord's protection and hope for the best. Everyone was busy today making final preparations for the weather headed our way. Hopefully you had everything you needed.
Washington Parish Schools were out today Wednesday, and tomorrow, and maybe Friday. Schools will open when it's safe.
Twas a Red-Letter Day for my dear brother Troy Ingram on Friday, late afternoon, August 23rd, when family and friends gathered for food and fellowship at his house. An array of foods was enjoyed along with special music. His friend Jimmy Gerald Thomas dedicated the special song to Troy. Also playing his guitar and singing was Johnny Ray Spears. Everyone joined in singing Amazing Grace followed by several who shared encouraging thoughts and reminiscing of the past. He enjoyed seeing everyone and his spirits were lifted. Special thanks to his friends and neighbors who attended.
My granddaughters Breanna and Jennifer and her children came Tuesday a week ago to get me and we had a great visit with Troy. We sang to him and the two-year-old Ava said her favorite Bible verse to Uncle Troy. I'm sure he was worn out after our visit interacting with them. We summed up with prayer and got a goodbye hug.

My brother Troy has not felt well these past few days. We ask that you pray for us during this time. His body is weaking day by day but tries to keep his spirits up. He talks about going to meet the Lord. He says he is ready. (Editor's note: Troy Ingram passed away on Friday, September 13.)
Though for the Week! Remember God gave his only begotten son just for us to have eternal life. Give someone a hug today.
Until next writing. Maybe the hurricane will come and go. Take care of yourself, your family and neighbors and be safe. Prayerfully Nell.
