Fall greetings to all! Finally, the heat has let up some. It's been in the 80's and by fair time it probably will be cool at night, during the fair. Everyone is talking about the fair and making plans to attend. Hopefully we will have nice, cool weather. Get your exhibits ready to enter.
Last Sunday, September 29th, was pastor appreciation at Mt. Pisgah. We honored Bro. Lenard Smith and wife Sheila with a church family meal held in the church fellowship hall following the morning hour. They received a beautiful throw, a fruit basket, and cards. They appreciated the kindness shown. Thanks to Bro. Randal Penton who made the huge, very tasty pot of Jambalaya. Everyone else added side dishes. All enjoyed the meal and fellowship. Leftovers were to carry home.

Hurricane Helene did lots of damage, massive flooding, and numerous people killed. We have heard that Helene effected residents in South Carolina. This is where Jacob Eder and family lives. He is our beloved Elvis guy. Word was they have NO electricity, but are safe and managing things fairly well. Please be in prayer for them and others.
Our time to be at the Half Moon Bluff Church, coffee and serving water is Saturday, October 19th, 11:30 to 1:30 pm. Hope to see you there.

Signing off for now. Take care of yourself and your family. I look forward to visit with you next time. Be safe. Prayerfully-Nell.
